THE hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD) outbreak shows no sign of abating.
Last week, the number of cases rose to 706, crossing the epidemic level of 679, reported Channel NewsAsia.
One doctor said the increase in cases could be due to better awareness and more frequent checks in schools.
The Ministry of Health said HFMD cases tend to peak between March and May, and between October and November.
It added that there have been no serious HFMD cases so far this year.
