My lady friend was diagnosed with breast cancer stage 2 over 6 years ago. She is now in remission. Does this mean she is fully cured, as she has passed the 5 year mark?
What must she do to prevent relapse? |

No
What must she do to prevent relapse?
Nothing particular, ensure healthy lifestyle, continue regular follow up with doctor, breast self exam and regular mammogram

| | | | Posted by iaesha | Hi,
Currently I am a patient with breast related medical condition. I have 2 lumps, one of which has already been tested to be benign with FNA, and another one was said that the samples were insufficient as the lump was quite small. I have been asked to return for follow up every year for 2 years running. The affected area hurts persistently for a while now, causing the area to numb a while. My next medical check up will be next year in feb, but the Ultrasound is scheduled for in Jan. I was wondering if I should seek medical attention now or wait till my medical appointment.
Thanks.
Best regards,
Aishah |
