Here's what you should know about vaccinations.

 

Recommended immunisation schedules

Vaccines work best when given at the right time.

1. Babies from birth to six months of age

 Age  Compulsory  Optional
 At birth  - BCG
 - Hepatitis B (1st dose)

 2 months  - 6-in-1
  
 - Rotavirus
 4 months  - 5-in-1
 - PCV
  
 - Rotavirus
 6 months  - 6-in-1
 - PCV

2. Babies of hepatitis B carrier mothers, till 12 months of age

 Age  Compulsory  Optional
 At birth  - BCG
 - Hepatitis B (1st dose)
  
 -
 1 month  - Hepatitis B (2nd dose)
  
 -
 2 months  - 5-in-1
  
 - Rotavirus
 4 months  - 5-in-1
 - PCV
  
 - Rotavirus
 6 months  - 5-in-1
 - Hepatitis B (3rd dose)
 - PCV
   
 -
 9 months  - Blood test for Hepatitis B sAg
 - Anti-Hepatitis B sAb
    
 -
 12 months  - Hepatitis B vaccine booster if required
     
 -

3. All toddlers from 1 to 2 years of age

 Age  Compulsory  Optional
 12 months  - PCV
  
 -
 15 months  - MMR 
  
 - Chicken pox
 - Hepatitis A
    
 18 months  - 5-in-1 booster   - Chicken pox^
  
 21 - 24 months  -  - Hepatitis A
   

4. Children after 2 years of age

 Age  Compulsory
 6 - 7 years  - MMR (2nd dose)
 - Oral sabin (for polio) 2nd booster
  
 10 - 11 years  - Tdap/Boostris 2nd booster
 - Oral sabin 3rd booster
   

  • Can also be given at 4 - 6 years of age.
  • For additional vaccines, especially those recommended for travel, please discuss with your doctor.
